Building a Stronger, Greener, and Healthier Society
Shri Bhaskar Rao is a well-known cycling enthusiast who uses the sport as a medium for mass social awareness. The “Karnataka Darshan” expedition was primarily focused on the Swachh Bharat mission, ending open defecation, and sharing the harmful effects of plastic waste.
The Bidar to Bengaluru Jatha
Led a 52-member team of the KSRP on a 1,756 km cycle jatha focusing on the “Swachh Bharat” mission.
Environmental Stewardship
During the tour, the team planted approximately 7,500 saplings across 25 districts.
Promoting Kannada
Used the “Kannada Ulisi, Kannada Belesi” theme to promote local language and culture.
Tour of Nilgiris (TfN)
Participated in the Tour of Nilgiris, a grueling 900 km, eight-day cycling tour, to showcase cycling as a viable and eco-friendly alternative to motorized transport.
